Monadnock Regional “O-Ringen” One Day & 5 Maps
The O-Ringen is a famous Swedish orienteering event held annually, over 5 days on 5 different maps. On this side of the pond, we can’t spare the 5 days but would like to offer the opportunity to orienteer on 5 different courses (4 different areas) in a single day. You can participate in any number of courses, including all 5. The event courses are Orange difficulty and higher – please consider your orienteering abilities and respect each courses finish closing times.

Registration will open at 8:30 at the Shieling State Forest. First start at 9am

Option 3 is also available: Mix and match the long/short courses.
You can participate in any number of events, but only those who participate in the first four events will be in the chase start for the last event.
People running fewer than 4 courses will be in the mass start. People who combine long/short (option 3) will also be in the mass start.
Start times for the first 4 events will not be assigned. For the last event, there will be a chase start based on cumulative time for the first 4 events, with a mass start at approximately 2:30.
We will be using preprinted maps. Clues will be printed on the maps but not available in advance.

All are welcome to a socializing, potluck and BBQ after the event at Compass Point in Stoddard– which is about 10min drive from the Harris Center. Ask for directions.
Registration and event Costs:
Day of meet registration: Individual events will cost the standard UNO meet fees:
UNO Members $5 for one map or $20 for all 5 events
Non-members $8 for one map or $30 for all 5 events. You can register at each location.
It is greatly appreciated if you can register in advance so we can print enough maps for everyone.
